Farid Ahmad is a nonfiction film writer-director from Bangladesh. He also worked as a program producer for televisions for more than 10 years. His films are mainly focused on freedom and human rights. His latest film ‘Antara’ received ‘Short Documentary Showcase Excellence Film Award’ at the Tokyo Docs-2020. His academic background is in Media Studies and communication. In addition, he teaches nonfiction film making. He is also contributing as a general secretary of Bangladesh Documentary Council, a national platform for documentary film lovers. He is currently working on his first feature documentary project ‘Waiting For Winter’ which also received HAF Documentary Award’ at the Hong Kong-Asian Film Financing Forum this year.
